While you may not be able to hit the gym amid COVID-19, head online instead and break a sweat with these local fitness studios for live and pre-recorded classes.

This new fitness studio is using Facebook to share live at home workouts. Classes are forty-five minutes long and cost $30 for an unlimited week or $5 for a drop-in class. Click here to access the workouts.

Island Moving Company and the Newport Academy of Ballet are offering a valuable thread of continuity and social connection with this new series. The Ocean State Community Wellness Center offers remote personal training sessions and nutritional consultations while the center is closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Training sessions, led by OSCW coaches, are thirty minutes long and are available Monday through Friday. The training’s are free, but a weekly thirty-minute nutritional consultation is only included with a donation of $100 for ten sessions. The funds from donations will benefit local food pantries and will also be used to purchase personal protective equipment for local healthcare professionals.
