Luxe Burger Bar Announces Top Five for Build-Your-Own Burger Contest
From the LGBTQA burger to the "Somefin" or "Nofin" burger, guests can vote for their favorite at the restaurant and at luxeburgerbar.com.
Luxe Burger Bar‘s annual Build-Your-Own Burger Contest has narrowed entries down to the top five finalists and you can vote for your favorite at the restaurant or online at luxeburgerbar.com. The restaurant had nearly 500 submissions for the ninth annual contest that gives creative burger geniuses a chance to share $1,000 in prizes. All five finalist burgers are listed on the Luxe Burger Bar menu through October 18. The top five finalists are invited to a final showdown on Saturday, October 19 at noon, when each burger will be presented to a panel of culinary and celebrity judges who will evaluate each submission’s creativity, taste, edibility, ease of production, overall composition and the burger’s name. Final scoring will be based on votes on Facebook and luxeburgerbar.com, sales of the burger from September 17-October 18, and the experts’ opinions.
To participate, contestants filled out an entry form in July and August to create their masterpiece from a list of more than forty-five ingredients already offered at Luxe, as well as two of their own secret ingredients.

“The Cuban” (Amanda Radican, Cranston, RI)
Chicken breast, Swiss, sliced ham, dill pickles, Bermuda onions, honey mustard, sesame bun
“Fried Green Tomato BLT” (Laurie Paoletto, Watertown, CT)
Gold Label Hereford, bacon horseradish cheese, smoked bacon, fried green tomatoes, black course sea salt, iceberg lettuce, horseradish mayo, fatty style ~ grilled cheese as buns
“Mexicali Burger” (Nancy Goldstein, Falmouth , ME)
Wagyu beef, sliced avocado, pineapple salsa, ripe tomatoes, baby lettuce, whole wheat bun
