We all know Easter brunch and dinner are going to be a bit different this year due to social-distancing measures, but the day doesn’t have to be any less celebratory. Treat yourself to a decadent takeout meal with your immediate family or roommates.
Bayberry Beer Hall in Providence is offering two different Easter dinner options to choose from for pickup, a spiral ham or roast leg of lamb with three sides, house baked bread and dessert. Sides for the spiral ham option include buttermilk whipped potatoes, green beans cacio e pepe and asparagus salad with lemon vinaigrette and Parker House rolls with black pepper and honey butter. Dessert is apple and rhubarb crisp. Sides for the lamb option include cauliflower tabouli, za’atar roasted carrots, harissa roast fingerling potatoes and roti with garlic, ginger, honey and cilantro. Dessert is apple, date and pistachio crisp. The restaurant is also putting together amazing $30 meat and cheese boards for pre-meal snacking. There are two portion sizes, meals for two ($70-$80) or family-size for four to six people ($175-$200). Each meal is available for pre-order only on the website, no substitutions allowed, and all items are packaged cold and include heating/serving instructions. You must order before Wednesday at 5 p.m., and the pickup time is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Easter Sunday. Pre-order to reserve your Easter brunch and dinner dishes for pickup at Bix at Newport Vineyards. Options include takeout Easter ham, Easter lamb or Easter brunch for two ($40) to four ($70) people. The ham option includes house-cured Blackbird Farm ham, potato gratin, maple roasted parsnips, warm cinnamon apples, Portuguese sweet rolls and cream cheese blondies. The lamb option includes Landot-braised Hopkins Southdowns lamb, bacon roasted Wishing Stone potatoes and vegetables, Portuguese sweet rolls and cream cheese blondies. The Capital Grille in Providence is willing to cook your Easter meal this year. The restaurant will prepare a family-style dinner for you to pick up and serve at home (ready to reheat or ready to serve) as well as meat from the butcher shop for you to cook yourself. One option is the exclusive whole rack of bone-in filet with sauteed mushrooms and horseradish cream, served with a field greens salad and rolls, grilled asparagus and Sam’s mashed potatoes, plus fresh baked apple crostada for dessert. The cost of the multi-course dinner is $95 for two people and $185 to serve four to six. Many other options are available, including Butcher Shop steaks and roasts for cooking at home, plus sides. The Chanler in Newport is offering Easter dinner for home for takeout or delivery, and if you pick it up, you might just catch a socially distant view of the Easter Bunny. Starters include house cured salmon, spring pea soup with applewood smoked bacon, polenta with soft cooked egg and gouda or a mixed lettuces salad with beets and spiced pecans. Main courses include Thomas Tew rum-glazed ham, braised lamb, Wagyu ribeye and North Atlantic cod. Celestial Cafe is offering a family-style Easter brunch package that feeds four to five people. Pre-order your meal by credit card and pick it up on Sunday during a scheduled time from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal includes apple pastries with cranberry preserves, chefs bbq three-bean blend with local pulled pork and pork belly bacon, a fritatta with local eggs, roasted tomato, basil, fromage blanc and sweet potatoes and slow-braised peach chicken marsala. The Crowne Plaza in Warwick is offering an Easter Dinner Package that can be picked up curbside on Saturday, April 11 at a scheduled time with heating instructions. The menu includes a tossed garden salad with ranch dressing and white zinfandel vinaigrette, sliced baked Virginia ham with a pineapple and raisin glaze, baked stuffed shells with marinara sauce, sweet potato casserole, roasted seasonal vegetable medley, hot cross buns and platters of assorted mini pastries. Easy Entertaining in Olneyville is running an Easter catering menu for curbside pickup to re-heat and enjoy. Celebrate the holiday at home with brunch, lunch or dinner for your family or housemates. Packages are designed to serve anywhere from two to six people (with leftovers if you are feeding fewer than six). Brunch is $49 and includes six Rebelle bagels, asparagus and cheddar frittata and citrus salad. You can add a mustard-brown sugar ham for the package cost of $69, and order three-cheese mac and cheese for an extra $30.
