Pizza Marvin Is Hosting Fourth Annual Twelve Pies of Christmas Collaboration

The Fox Point pizza spot is working with twelve Rhode Island restaurants who will each cook a special pizza for one night only, with all of the proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Providence.

Pizza Marvin is turning on the rizz again by teaming up with Rhode Island’s best restaurants and small businesses for collaboration pies and ice creams. Coined the “Twelve Pies of Christmas,” the fourth annual, two-week long event will highlight specialty pizzas on specific dates from December 8 to 23. Twelve bussin’ spots will each cook a specialty pizza for one night only, served for dine-in or takeout at Pizza Marvin. Every year they choose a different nonprofit as the beneficiary, and this year, they are donating all of the proceeds from each pizza and ice cream to the Boys & Girls Club of Providence.

Over the last three years, the Fox Point pizza hotspot has collectively raised more than $35,000 to help local charities and nonprofits like Sojourner House, Amos House and Farm Fresh Rhode Island during the holiday season. Say less.

Pizza Marvin is doing mashups with our favorite Rhode Island restaurants to showcase the vast culinary sigmas we have within the state. There’s nothing sus about that. “We’ve got a bunch of familiar faces participating again this year as well as some first-timers getting in on the festivities,” say Pizza Marvin co-owners Robert Andreozzi and Jesse Hedberg in an Instagram post. “Here’s your chance to try your favorite local chefs’ cuisine in pizza form! Oh, and there will be ice cream specials too!”

NGL, previous years’ pies from Durk’s and Dolores are still living rent free in my head.

They are also hosting one of Providence’s long-lost culinary savages, who left Providence three years ago for New York City. “We will welcome James Mark this year who has already done so much for the community at large here in Providence in his time operating North, North Bakery and Big King,” they continued in the post. “We will get a pie from the Irregardless Biscuit team for the first time, and another Oberlin/Gift Horse half-and-half pizza.”

In addition to the twelve restaurants, Millie from Milk Thistle Kitchen (starting on Dec. 8) and Alex from Big Feeling (starting on Dec. 15) will each be taking over the soft serve ice cream machine to provide some fun flavors to go with the pies. Pre-ordering is live for the sure-to-sell-out pizzas on Fridays at 8 a.m. on Pizza Marvin’s website. The restaurant is also open seven days a week from noon to 10 p.m. for everyday pizzas.

“Pizzas for each week go live Fridays (starting this Friday) at 8 a.m. and are available through our website. All you gotta do is pick the day that coincides with the pizza you want (the special will appear at the top of the page), select a pickup time, and place the order. That means the first week’s pizzas become available for pre-order this Friday the 6th, week two becomes available on the 13th and the final pizzas go up on the 20th. These pies always sell out so get your pre-orders in early!”

“It’s kinda like an advent calendar with pizzas instead of chocolates,” Andreozzi has previously said.

The money raised this year will help support the Boys & Girls Club of Providence’s  mission in support of food justice and building great futures here in Fox Point and seven other clubs throughout the city. The Boys & Girls Clubs serve 70,000 meals every year to over 3,600 youth who attend after school programs, summer programs, career readiness training, and more. This whole thing slaps.
