Robin Kall’s Summer With Robin Event Goes Virtual
Wednesday's sixth annual event will be a virtual affair so avid readers can connect with their favorite authors Jennifer Weiner, Emma Straub and Courtney Sullivan.
Robin Kall, known for her book podcast Reading with Robin, has been bringing writers and readers together since 2002. She founded the Cardigan Connection in Rhode Island and created amazing events for authors and their fans to meet and mingle. This year, for the first time ever, she’s making her sixth annual Summer With Robin event a virtual affair so avid readers can connect with their favorite novelists.
Summer With Robin is happening Wednesday, May 6 from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and will celebrate three of the season’s hottest titles, including Jennifer Weiner’s Big Summer, Emma Straub’s All Adults Here and Courtney Sullivan’s Friends and Strangers. The event will take place virtually, and benefit Books Are Wings and the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
VIP ticket holders ($115) will get copies of two out of the three books and a signed book plate for each of them, plus a bottle of prosecco delivered to your door in time for showtime (if you are in Rhode Island). VIP ticket holders will also gain access to a separate link before the show starts, where they will experience a virtual meet and greet and take a picture with the author.
General admission tickets are $39 and include your choice of the three books mailed to you and the virtual show. Or you can choose General admission tickets with no book for just $10. Books will be sold by the Brown University Bookstore.
