Waffles are the ultimate base for sweet and savory toppings. They are one of the only foods that can stretch all the way from breakfast to lunch and dinner, and even dessert, too. Check out some other places in Rhode Island (in no particular order) that have creative waffles on their menus.
Handcrafted to satisfy sweet and savory cravings, the Burgundian offers Belgian liege-style waffles and locally-roasted coffee. For those people with a sweet tooth, enjoy signature waffles topped with artisanal ingredients, such as the Streets of Bruges with Nutella, cookie butter, strawberries, bananas and whipped cream, or the Banana Churro Con Caramel with cinnamon sugar, bananas, whipped cream and, of course, caramel. Feeling something more savory? Go for fried chicken and waffles or the Bacon di Belgio topped with ricotta, fig spread, bacon and fresh basil.
