Attend Pique Nique Luxury Picnic Party with Garden Nymphs, Live Jazz and Tarot Readings
Only twenty-five tickets will be sold for this upscale event hosted in the gardens at the Corliss-Carrington House on College Hill.
We did it. We survived a pandemic. Now we can celebrate. No really, we can. Go ahead, it’s okay. Fancy parties are back and we are so ready. Coming up next week on Thursday, June 24 from 5:30-9 p.m. is Pique Nique, an over-the-top, upscale picnic party hosted by Kaitlyn Alyece Event Architects at the spellbinding Corliss-Carrington House in Providence’s College Hill. The exclusive event — only twenty-five tickets will be sold — will raise funds for College Leadership Rhode Island. Everything will be taken care of for you to have the ultimate luxury picnic experience in the gardens on the grounds of the mansion. Performers from Ten31 will transform the surroundings into an enchanted evening complete with a living goddess tree of the garden, garden nymphs and bubbling fountains.
Each ticket is good for two people. “Only twenty-five tickets will be sold. The aim is to create an escape for people without being on top of each other,” Kaitlyn Frolich says. “I want them to feel transported to another realm.”
The luxury picnic theme makes this event stand out from other fundraisers. Guests will be given a picnic basket curated by Easy Entertaining and stocked with a bottle of Champagne and lobster rolls for two on housemade pain de mie rolls served with roasted garlic farro salad with chicken breast and sweet corn and potato chips with caramelized onion dip, followed by seasonal shortcake in a mason jar for dessert. If lobster rolls aren’t your thing, you can choose a more traditional picnic of chilled beef tenderloin with chimichurri sauce with rolls and roasted garlic aioli, North Fork potato chips with housemade caramelized onion dip, and berry balsamic salad with goat cheese, pickled onions, almonds, berries and classic pesto pasta, followed by a seasonal shortcake served in a mason jar for dessert. A vegetarian option is also available, and you can also add on a charcuterie spread.
Jazz singer Miss Wensday will perform during the event and intuitive reader Madame Katya of West of the Moon will tell guests’ fortunes through taro cards. Guests will also be invited to play croquet or take on a treasure hunt in the garden in search of glass treasures created by Gather Glass. Vintage Girl Studios will document the night in photos.
All vendors will be supported at the event. “Rather than asking vendors and performers to donate time and services to the fundraiser, we’re also supporting these local businesses who have also struggled through the pandemic, and bringing business to them,” Frolich says.
