Let the tableside hygge begin. The Rhode Island Hospitality Association has launched a campaign for guests to #BYOBlanket (Bring Your Own Blanket). The #BYOBlanket campaign encourages guests to bundle up, bring a blanket and dine outdoors, all in an effort to help local restaurants survive the cold weather with limited capacity indoor dining

People who participate in #BYOBlanket can enter for a chance to win an industry gift card. Customers can submit photos of themselves with blankets dining outdoors at a restaurant and use the hashtag #BYOBlanket and tag @RIHospitality.

RIHA is also hoping to purchase blankets to distribute to restaurants for guests who would like to dine outdoors when it’s cold outside and who forgot their own blanket. That program will be rolling out in the coming weeks.
