Just before dinner with the family, hang out in the beautiful, historical Lippitt House garden and enjoy summer concerts on August 1 and 8. Lay down a blanket beside the fountain as the music fills the summer air.
On August 1, sing along with the Latin jazz band Infusion Evolution. With both original music and familiar songs, spend a fun afternoon dancing along to uplifting Afro-Cuban beats.
The next Sunday on August 8, settle in as you listen to story songs and Irish tunes by the band Bank of Ireland. The duo will transform the garden into a romantic atmosphere with their fiddle, guitar and vocal skills.
Garden seating opens at 3:30 p.m. for both Sunday concerts, and the performances run from 4 to 5 p.m. Admission per adult is $10, and guests twelve and under are allowed in for free, but capacity is limited. August 15 is the rain date for either concert date.
For advance registration, visit preserveri.org. Lippitt House Museum, 199 Hope St., Providence, 401-453-0688.
