You can vote for your favorite project for the Rhody Awards, including the intricate plasterwork at this McKim, Mead and White designed single-family home.

Preserve Rhode Island is hosting the Rhody Awards for Historic Preservation on November 15. The awards show will be aired virtually for free on Capitol TV at 6 p.m. and will highlight the preservation work of groups across the state.

There will be an Audience Award which will allow the public to vote on their favorite project. The winners will be announced during the airing of the award show, but those interested in finding some hints can go to the Preserve RI Instagram page.

“In these tumultuous times, our shared sense of history can be both a comfort and a catalyst of change. Rhode Island is fortunate to have a wealth of historic places that have been maintained by our predecessors,” says Preserve Rhode Island’s Director Valerie Talmage. “Each year, Preserve RI and RIHPC honor the best in preservation across our state, ensuring these places will be enjoyed by generations to come. While this year’s ceremony will be virtual, it will allow everyone in the state to join in the celebration.”

The winner’s tour will be postponed until spring.
