How did you first get involved with Metro Valet?

Metro Valet started from my background in the services business. My fiance and I were already operating Metro Security Services and working closely with restaurants, hotels and event venues throughout Rhode Island. One thing I noticed was that the guest experience begins long before someone walks through the door. It starts the moment they arrive. Many places treat valet parking as just parking cars. I see it as an opportunity to elevate the entire arrival experience. So I launched Metro Valet with the goal of creating a service that feels polished, organized and welcoming, something that complements the atmosphere of high-end restaurants, private events and hospitality venues.

Why do upscale valet services make a big difference for events and restaurants?

First impressions are everything. When guests arrive somewhere special, the experience should feel seamless from the moment they pull up. A well-run valet service eliminates the stress of parking, but more importantly, it sets the tone. Professional attendants greeting guests, opening doors, providing umbrella service and managing traffic smoothly creates an immediate sense of hospitality. It tells guests they’re somewhere that pays attention to detail. For restaurants and events, that moment of arrival can shape the entire experience. Everything from our uniforms and custom equipment to our training standards are considered.

Tell me about your personal style. What inspires you?

I’d describe my style as classic and polished. I gravitate toward pieces that are well-tailored and timeless rather than trendy. Tom Ford has always been a big inspiration for me: simple, elegant and sharp without trying too hard.

If you put together a favorite outfit, what would it involve?

A blazer, a T-shirt and trousers. It’s simple, comfortable and versatile. You can wear it almost anywhere and easily dress it up or down.

What are your favorite local businesses to support?

I love a good restaurant and we have some of the best here. You’ll usually find me at places like Al Forno or Matunuck Oyster Bar, and Marcelino’s is always a go-to for a great drink.

Are people going to see Metro Valet on national TV soon?

Funny you ask. This past summer, we had the opportunity to provide valet services at a birthday party for our friends Gerry and Liz from Slater Center. There may have been a camera or two around … so if you’re watching “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island,” you just might spot Metro Valet if you look closely. metrovaletri.com
