For generations, visitors have traveled to Block Island to experience the historic Spring House Hotel, perched high above the Atlantic with ocean views and a reputation for warm New England hospitality. Now, travelers passing through Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD) can enjoy a taste of that tradition before they even leave the ground.
The newly opened Spring House Seafood Grill, located in the North Terminal near Gate 11, brings one of Rhode Island’s most recognizable hospitality brands into the airport, adding a fresh coastal dining experience for passengers.
At 1,900 square feet with seating for 85 guests, the restaurant is designed to offer travelers more than a quick stop between flights. Instead, it delivers a dining experience rooted in Rhode Island’s coastal identity, blending fresh seafood, classic preparations and a relaxed atmosphere inspired by the historic Spring House Hotel.
The opening marks the airport’s newest restaurant addition since Federal Hill Italian Eatery in 2025, continuing PVD’s effort to showcase local flavors and create a stronger sense of place throughout the terminal.

Inspired by a Rhode Island icon
Few properties are as closely tied to Rhode Island summers as the Spring House Hotel. Since 1852, the landmark hotel has welcomed guests to Block Island with its grand white façade, expansive verandas and panoramic ocean views.
Spring House Seafood Grill draws directly from that legacy.
The restaurant captures the timeless charm and welcoming atmosphere that have defined the hotel for generations while introducing travelers to the flavors of Rhode Island’s coastline. The concept celebrates the state’s maritime heritage through a menu centered on fresh seafood and classic New England favorites.
For travelers arriving in Rhode Island, the restaurant offers an immediate introduction to the Ocean State’s coastal culture. For departing passengers, it provides one last taste of Rhode Island before takeoff.

Expanding the airport dining experience
The addition of Spring House Seafood Grill reflects a broader effort by Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport to elevate every aspect of the passenger journey.
In recent years, PVD has expanded its lineup of dining options to better represent Rhode Island’s diverse food scene. The airport now features a growing collection of local favorites, including Federal Hill Italian Eatery, Narragansett Kitchen & Bar, Saugy’s Franks, L’Artisan and Dunkin’.
Each venue brings a different cuisine and piece of Rhode Island culture into the terminal. Federal Hill Italian Eatery introduced authentic Italian with a local twist, while Narragansett is a nod to the state’s brewery roots and Saugy’s Franks highlights homemade hot dogs. Spring House Seafood Grill now adds a distinctly coastal element, giving travelers another way to experience the state’s culinary identity.
Together, the restaurants create a dining experience that feels uniquely Rhode Island rather than interchangeable with airports elsewhere.
Creating an award-winning airport experience
The new restaurant arrives as Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport continues to earn national recognition for customer satisfaction.
Fresh off being nominated once again for Travel + Leisure’s Best Domestic Airport, PVD has focused heavily on investments that improve the traveler experience. Recent enhancements have included terminal upgrades, new dining concepts and ongoing infrastructure improvements throughout the airport.
Dining plays an important role in how travelers evaluate airports, and PVD’s growing collection of local restaurants helps distinguish it from larger, more crowded hubs.
Instead of relying solely on national chains and grab-and-go options, the airport has embraced restaurants that reflect Rhode Island’s character and hospitality. The result is an experience that feels connected to the destination itself.
Spring House Seafood Grill strengthens that approach by bringing one of Rhode Island’s most recognizable hospitality traditions into the terminal.
