Miami is Coming to Providence at Marcelino’s on Wednesday
Marcelino's bar director Refaat Ghostine will host guest mixologist Barna Jeremias of LPM Restaurant and Bar, a French Riviera-inspired eatery and bar located in Miami.
Marcelino’s Boutique Bar is bringing the Miami heat and French Riviera flair to Providence on Wednesday for a bar takeover with LPM Restaurant and Bar, which is a French Riviera-inspired eatery and bar located in Miami. This bar brings the flavors and style of the Côte d’Azur to Miami, and this week it will introduce Providence to a sexier side of bartending. Marcelino’s bar director Refaat Ghostine will host guest mixologist Barna Jeremias of LPM at the event on Wednesday, May 24 from 8 to 11 p.m.
The evening will include a French-Mediterranean-inspired cocktail menu featuring only the freshest of ingredients incorporated into each of the carefully crafted cocktails. Some of the most unusual and creative craft cocktails will include the Tomatini, known as the essence of LPM in a glass, which is a light, fragrant and savory ruby-colored martini made with Ketel One vodka, white balsamic vinegar and Campari tomato. Sweeter beverages include the Lettre a Coco, an homage to Jean Cocteau and Coco Chanel, which delivers a scent reminiscent of Chanel No. 5 perfume. It is a cocktail mixed with Champagne cordial, and topped with jasmine, bergamot and rose misted onto the glass. There’s also a drink called Fragrance, made with Tanqueray 10, cantaloupe, mandarin, fennel seeds, lemon and eucalyptus. The bartenders will also serve LPM’s non-alcoholic Limonade Noire, which is made with rosemary-infused honey, verjuice and activated charcoal, stirred with sparkling water.
This is a special treat that Jeremias is in town guest bartending with Marcelino’s. He has previously appeared in Dubai, London and Hong Kong, and has competed at the World Class bartending competition at the global finals in Mexico City. Jeremias created LPM’s cocktail menu and helped revive bar culture in Miami. Meanwhile, Ghostine has curated Marcelino’s Mediterranean-inspired menu. The hidden gem bar next to the Omni Providence hotel specializes in housemade syrups and house-infused spirits and serves a vegan-friendly mezze menu with flavors of the Middle East. 1 W Exchange St., Providence, 401-666-0088, marcelinosboutiquebar.com
