Grab your friends for the exciting launch of a new festival, bringing laughter, creativity and live entertainment to the heart of Providence. The Lil Rhody Laugh Riot Comedy Festival, Rhode Island’s weekend of side-splitting amusement, features local performers and renowned stars from across the country, aiming to bring the biggest laughs to the smallest state.
From March 27–30, the comedy fest is taking over the Creative Capital with performances at the Providence Performing Arts Center, the VETS, and Comedy Connection in East Providence. Showcasing stand-up and improv performances with quick wit, self-deprecating humor and overall comedic charm, Lil Rhody Laugh Riot promises — you guessed it — a riot of laughter and unforgettable evenings meant to make the world feel a little bit lighter.
The stacked list of powerhouse performers include Kevin Hart, Leslie Jones, Aziz Ansari, Chris Distefano, Ashley Gavin, Josh Johnson, Hannah Berner, Michael Blaustein and more.
Well known for his chart-topping Netflix comedy specials, The New York Times bestselling author and social media star (not to mention new Rhody resident) Matt Rife is the newest addition to the Lil Rhody Laugh Riot list with performances at Rhode Island Comedy Connection on March 29 and 30, as well as Emmy-nominated television personality, comedian and hair guru from Netflix’s Queer Eye, Jonathan Van Ness, who is headlining the VETS on Saturday, March 29.
