The holiday season can be stressful and difficult for those less fortunate. This year, even with COVID-19 restrictions and difficulties, Amos House is hoping to provide a magical holiday for members of the community at its annual Holiday Shopping Day on Friday, Dec. 18. You can support their efforts by making financial contributions at

Parents will get the opportunity to go shopping for their children and will be given a gift-wrapping set to wrap the presents. The goal of having families shop amongst the donations is to create a personalized experience.

Those interested in donating can give monetary donations. There are more than 300 children in the Amos House community, and the donations will mean a lot to the kids this year. Donations for the adults living in Amos House’s housing will also be accepted.

Donations need to be left unwrapped. If you are looking to donate money, you can do so online or by mailing a check to 460 Pine St., Providence, made out to Amos House.

Amos House is a social services organization with a variety of services for members of the community who may need some help.
