Fashion Icon and Brown Alumnus André Leon Talley Celebrates New Film

The fashion icon will be present at the Graduate Hotel tonight for a special screening and q-and-a.

There’s a beautiful portrait of him hanging inside the Graduate Hotel (the new Biltmore). And now the fashion icon, André Leon Talley, himself will be inside the building tonight for a viewing of an intimate documentary film, Kate Novack’s The Gospel According to André, which takes viewers on an emotional journey from André’s roots growing up in the segregated Jim Crow South to become one of the most influential tastemakers and fashion curators of our times. Leon Talley is a former Vogue editor who is know for his influence in the world of fashion. He’ll be present tonight at the Graduate’s Capital Ballroom for a special screening of the film, starting at 7 p.m. followed by a q-and-a at 8:30 p.m.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the event is free and open to the public. All you have to do is register as a guest.
