The Federal Hill Commerce Association has helped extend Al Fresco on the Hill throughout the month of October. On Friday and Saturday evenings, Atwells Avenue is closed off in two sections — from Bradford Street to Dean Street, then from Dean Street to Lily Street — for dining from 5 to 11 p.m. Restaurants on Federal Hill are able to take their tables to the sidewalks so that guests can be more spread out for social distancing, as well as enjoy the outdoor environment during their meal. This is based on the state’s most current guidelines, and will be evaluated each month to ensure the ability to continue.

Although the usual Columbus Day weekend feast won’t happen this year, Al Fresco on the Hill will take its place. The celebration will include more shopping and dining opportunities with an extended schedule. The hours are Friday, Oct. 9 from 5 to 11 p.m., Saturday Oct. 10 and Sunday, Oct. 11 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Monday Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Learn about and honor Italian heritage, discover new menu selections, and enjoy entertainment all weekend.

Contact individual restaurants for reservations between 5 to 11 p.m., or just walk in to dine. Keep social distancing in mind and wear your mask to enter.
