Bobby Flay Shares His Go-to Order at Newly Renovated Bobby’s Burgers

Famed chef and restaurateur Bobby Flay recently unveiled his restaurant Bobby’s Burgers, formerly Bobbys Burger Palace, to the masses after months of renovations. The recently renovated Bobby’s Burgers, located inside Mohegan Sun, includes an updated design and service model and is one of the only Bobby’s Burgers to feature an adjacent full-service bar. Flay, a known fan of classic American fare, was present at the restaurant opening to share more details about the locations facelift.

“The restaurant had been around for 13 years, and it was just time to take a look and do something fresh,” says Flay. “Everyone called it Bobby’s Burgers, so we decided that’s what we’d call it from now on too. We obviously changed the design and color scheme, but we also changed the service model to make it simpler.”

Although the restaurant faces many changes, the decision to stay at Mohegan Sun was an easy one for Flay and his team, with the former praising the Connecticut casino as a dream business partner.

“Mohegan Sun has been incredibly supportive as a partner,” says Flay. “They’re very interested in what we bring to the table, and they’re able to deliver us an amazing infrastructure of not only their hospitality department but they’re amazing customers and very enthusiastic employees. It’s been fantastic.”

Despite the upgrades, Flay and his team aim to keep the focus on delivering fast casual food they can be proud of. While a rotating menu of limited time burgers and shakes will keep the menu fresh, staple items like the Bobby Blue + Bacon Burger and the Palace Classic Burger are here to stay.

“The thing that is very much the same is the menu is driven by the great American meal, which is burgers, fries and shakes,” says Flay. “Every category has to be amazing, and people walk away knowing what they just ate.”

For new customers who need some help deciding what to get on the menu, consider ordering what the burger expert himself orders.

“Obviously I love all the burgers, but my most ordered would be a bacon crunch burger and a pistachio shake,” says Flay. “Sometimes the sweet potato fries but the butter milk onion rings, to me, are really special.”
