New Year’s Eve is all about indulgence. This is a night where we should support our local restaurants by ordering the fanciest of takeout, sipping from the rarest bottles of wine and bubbles biting into the most decadent desserts and living it up at the most extravagant soirees. We’ll give you a head-start by outlining what’s available from some of our favorite places in Rhode Island for takeout, dining in and events to ring in 2026.

1.The Vanderbilt 🎉

The Vanderbilt, Auberge Resorts Collection in Newport is planning an extravagant New Year’s Eve party with the theme of A New Year to Remember. The party begins at 8 p.m. and its elegant space will feature a towering Champagne display, decadent passed and stationed dishes prepared by executive chef Tim Caspare’s culinary team, and live music from a local quartet. 2. The Rooftop at the G 🍽️ 🎉

Toast to the final night of 2025 with a three-course prix-fixe dinner at the Rooftop at the G. Start off with Amuse Bouche (a fancy Port Wine Cheese Ball), follow up with local Oysters Rockefeller or twelve grape salad, then dig into collard green tamales or crispy fried pork belly, and round it all out with your choice of bacon-wrapped filet, duck leg confit, or lamb shank. Stick around after dinner for the Rooftop’s Champagne Sea: New Year’s Eve 2026 Dance Party (note: dinner guests are eligible for a 50 percent discount per-person while tickets are still available). The night kicks off at 10 p.m. with DJ Joel Mojica, open-air dancing, shimmering lights and an incomparable view of downtown Providence. 3. The Chanler 🍽️ 🎉

The Chanler’s annual New Year’s Eve soiree will be a night to remember — even more so with its Wicked theme! While admission to A Touch of Wicked for members of the public is sold out, overnight hotel guests can still get in on the fun by booking a stay to gain exclusive access to tickets. Party guests can expect to ring in the New Year with an arrival cocktail or mocktail, a five-course prix fixe dinner with select wine or beer, a live jazz band and DJ, wickedly good late-night bites, and a sparkling toast to welcome the New Year. 4. Bally’s Twin River Lincoln 🎉

Head to Bally’s Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort on New Year’s Eve to step back in time and enjoy a ’90s-themed party. Expect a scene decked out in all things neon, glitter, sequins and metallic; throwback fashions like baggy low-rise jeans, crop tops, chokers, oversized blazers and bucket hats; and nostalgic anthems from Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Boys II Men, and more. 5. Downtown Providence 🎉🎆

The Providence Tourism Council and the City of Providence are bringing back the third annual New Year’s Eve Celebration and Illuminate PVD Fireworks Display to the Michael Van Leesten Pedestrian Bridge/ 195 District Park on Wednesday, December 31. Festivities will take place from 5–9 p.m. and include a We Love PVD healing-focused gathering, a Starts at Sunset WaterFire lighting, A Hush Crew KPop dance performance, a salsa takeover by Cultura Dance Arts, a NYE Parade and a fireworks show. Attendees can also expect DJ and pop-up dance performances on the mainstage, local food trucks and a heated beverage garden with live music from Kara McKee and beer, wine and spirits from The Guild and Rhodium. 6. Claudine 🍽️🥂

On New Year’s Eve, Claudine will offer two different delicious dining option to finish off 2025. Early dinner seating will take place at 5 p.m. and feature five celebratory courses. Track 15 is ringing in the New Year with an “Anti-Midnight” celebration for all ages. The party kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with hats, streamers, noisemakers and a DIY photo booth, plus delicious food, Champagne and celebratory cocktails. At 7 p.m., Track 15 will broadcast London’s countdown to midnight on its big screens featuring fireworks over the Thames and the London Eye.
