Editor’s Note: Nominations are now closed.

Now in its fourteenth year, the Tech10 Awards recognize outstanding individuals who have made contributions in technology. These individuals represent all levels of technologists in varied industries. They are innovators and creative thinkers.  They challenge the way that things get done.  What they create make us stop and say “Wow!”.

Cox Business has been a longstanding sponsor of this awards program. This award is for those who have embarked on a career in technology in the past 5 years, whether through completion of an educational program or a change of career paths and have already made a substantial contribution to the technology field.

This year the Tech10 Advisory Group, comprised of the past Lifetime Achievement Award winners, will be working directly with RI Monthly to assure that this award program continues.  Serving on this advisory group are David Hemendinger of H4 Innovations Inc., Todd Knapp of Envision Technology Advisors, Kathleen Malin of the Rhode Island Foundation, David Marble of OSHEAN, Rick Norberg of Vertikal6, Jason Albuquerque of Envision Technology Advisors, Linn F. Freedman of Robinson + Cole and Peter Moreau formerly (now retired) of Amica.

Through this program, the Tech10 Scholarship has been established at the Rhode Island Foundation.  This scholarship will be awarded annually to a student pursuing an education or training in the field of technology.  To donate to this fund click here: RI Foundation | Search All Funds

Nominations will open on May 1 and will run through June 6. Individuals are invited to nominate themselves or someone that they believe is making change happen in the technology field.  Nominees can be recognized for their work in their business or their community.  Nominations will be screened by a panel made up of community leaders.  Honorees will be highlighted in the November issue of Rhode Island Monthly and at a special event held in November.
