StyleWeek Returns This Spring with Innovative Local and Regional Designers

New England's premier fashion week returns to the Capital Grille patio on Thursday, June 13.

The Capital Grille in Providence really is the place to see and be seen. Especially when it hosts StyleWeek Northeast and its runway shows produced by local and regional designers. New England’s premier fashion week is returning to downtown Providence on Thursday, June 13 with a lineup of five runway shows featuring seasoned designers.

The fashion-filled evening begins at 5:30 p.m. on the side patio of the Capital Grille with a cocktail hour and light bites provided by the Capital Grille with beverages for purchase, alongside the accessory showcase.

The designer runway show kicks off with Kent Stetson, a renowned Rhode Island-based handbag artisan who was recently nationally spotlighted on PBS. Returning to StyleWeek after a few years’ hiatus is Chicago-based Peach Carr, who appeared on “Project Runway.” Tatyana Ayriyan is also returning with her sophisticated Boston-based collection, as is Pawtucket-based designer Amy Page DeBlasio, known as APD. Lastly, StyleWeek veteran Melina Cortes-Nmili of Lalla Bee, will close the night with her ethereal, classic and tailored looks for women.

The showcase will also feature a model installation by Bobbles and Lace PVD, highlighting their latest clothing collections as well as vendors such
as APD, Kent Stetson and the Real Real. StyleWeek is partnering with Ballet RI again as part of a runway show performance.

“The collaboration offers us a chance to learn from each other and bring together two important cultural institutions,” says Director of Ballet RI Kathleen Breen Combes.
