A Seaside Refresh
All forty-nine guest rooms at the Ocean House in Watch Hill have been refreshed in a wash of coastal colors, bespoke upholstery and richly patterned textiles in time to greet summer guests. Ocean House co-owner Deborah Goodrich Royce and New York-based Iliana Moore Interiors took their inspiration from Gilded Age florals, interpreted through a modern lens, to create the feeling of staying in a friend’s seaside New England cottage. Three new color schemes enliven each room: blue, pink and green; green and yellow; and lavender, blue and green, all drawn from the natural hues of sea glass, shoreline botanicals and sun-washed seaside architecture. “This renovation allows us to refresh our guest rooms in a way that feels elevated yet enduring, introducing new textures and finishes that enhance comfort while staying true to the classic coastal character our guests expect,” says Dant Hirsch, president and managing director of Ocean House Collection. oceanhouseri.com

Revolutionary Pewter
Warren’s Beehive Handmade has rolled out a collection of hand-wrought pewter goods to commemorate the country’s 250th anniversary. Artists Jim Dowd and Sandra Bonazoli took inspiration from Revolutionary War battles, Thomas Jefferson’s writings and even “Schoolhouse Rock!” ditties when crafting their
collection of matchboxes, tea infusers, tea bag rests, letter openers and teaspoons. With engravings like “Spilling the tea on tyrants since 1773” and “No more kings,” it’s hard not to feel revolutionary while fixing up your morning cup of tea. Huzzah! beehivehandmade.com
