Not into the idea of doing all the leg work of gathering food and supplies for your perfect picnic? These local purveyors have you covered. (But if you are looking for a more low-key experience or just need a place to set up camp, check out these five picnic-worthy spots in Rhode Island).

Stoneacre Picnics

Picture this: luxe linens, a colorful spread and fresh, local ingredients. That’s what you get with Stoneacre Picnics’ outdoor experience. The Newport-based restaurant group created Stoneacre Picnics with casual diners in mind to offer an elevated outdoor dining experience on your own time. Choose from two menus: the classic spread which includes artisanal charcuterie, locally sourced crudite, fresh summer salads and applewood smoked ham and Gruyere sandwiches with small, gluten-free sweet treats to finish. To up the ante, the luxe spread adds Kaluga caviar, housemade potato chips, blinis and a bottle of sparkling wine for two to split. Call to reserve your basket today (and/or learn even more about their Gilded Age offerings here). 151 Swinburne Row., Newport,

Easy Entertaining

What better way to celebrate a summer staff lunch than with catered boxed lunches? Easy Entertaining’s celebration boxes (featuring vegetarian and gluten-free options) offer a variety of bite-sized meals of artisan cheese and meats, small bites or petite desserts, as well as “grown up lunch boxes,” new twists on classic sandwiches and salads. The grazing box offers fresh veggies, flatbread, pretzel bites and dip. For the fully catered experience, multicourse celebratory dinners are perfect for milestones. Start with apple cheddar tartlets, short rib popovers with garlic aioli and antipasti skewers before diving into a bountiful salad. Or choose between a mushroom-stuffed turkey breast, Parmesan and pepper-crusted tenderloin or creamy mushroom bucatini for the main attraction and finish with the housemade dark chocolate pot de creme. Orders require a minimum of ten pieces, so gather as many friends as you can and dig in. 166 Valley St. Bldg. 10, Providence,

Foodlove Market

There’s a new kid on the block in the Newport Restaurant Group: Foodlove Market, a chef-crafted marketplace and cafe. Rather than heading out to eat a full, sit-down meal, why not take those same ingredients on the go? Foodlove’s a-la-carte approach to catering takes the guesswork out of planning meals for gatherings. Choose from seafood staples such as crabcakes, stuffies and bacon-wrapped scallops for a seaside picnic. Charcuterie and cheese platters alongside veggie crudite and chips and dips are great for serving multiple appetites, or pick a sandwich platter and large salad for hungrier guests. Entrees, ranging from Korean BBQ spiced and grilled chicken to the signature lasagna, are portioned for six to eight people. Don’t forget to grab a few specialty sides like black truffle grilled asparagus, marinated tomato and cucumber salad or harissa-lime couscous salad to add more variety, and toss in a cookie or brownie platter or housemade pie to satisfy sweet tooths. Forty-eight-hour advance notice is required for catering orders. 1037 Aquidneck Ave., Middletown,

Picnic Bakery and Cafe

If there’s any place to grab sustenance for a picnic, it’s this namesake cafe on Bellevue Avenue. Located near Touro Park, Picnic offers takeaway packages for outdoor dining experiences. Pick your perfect basket and order from the cafe’s menu and you’ll be on your way to dining by the sea. Or if you’ve brought your own food and drink, you can purchase the basket alone. Lighter fare such as breakfast bites and baked confections go quickly, so grab them while you can. Classic sandwiches such as ham and Swiss, chicken salad and lobster rolls make it easy for even the pickiest of young eaters, while BBQ pulled pork and prosciutto and mozzarella sandwiches can satisfy more elevated palates. Ask them to pack a refreshing falafel or strawberry and feta salad. 28 Bellevue Ave., Newport,
