Newport Jazz Festival Returns For a Summer of Rhythmic Tunes

This annual multi-day musical celebration in Newport has officially opened ticket sales as summer draws closer.

This year marks the sixty-ninth year of the Newport Jazz Festival, the largest musical celebration in Lil’ Rhody, known around the world as the “granddaddy of American music festivals since 1954.” From August 4–6, head over to Fort Adams State Park in Newport to listen to some of the greatest names in jazz for a celebration of the art itself.

This concert is boasting major names in the world of jazz including Herbie Hancock, Jon Batiste, Thundercat, Kamasi Washington, Anderson .Paak (under his stage moniker DJ Pee .Wee), Diana Kroll, Samara Joy (who recently won the “Best New Artist” and the “Best Jazz Vocal Album” awards at the 2023 Grammy Awards) and many others.

Tickets for this musical extravaganza are now on sale and only offered in a digital format. One-day tickets start at $100, two- and three-day admission passes range from $190–$280.
