We remember the lines stretching out the door when Maven’s Delicatessen in Pawtucket first opened. Fans braved the crowds for bagels and lox, matzo ball soup, and corned beef and pastrami sandwiches. Then the Jewish deli expanded to offer Maven’s sandwiches at the new Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket. Next, came Maven’s Jr. on Thayer Street for breakfast sandwiches and late-night bites in the student-heavy area. While demand for the Jewish deli specialties increased, more space became mandatory.

Luckily, the vacant former Feast & Fettle retail market next to the Maven’s flagship location in Pawtucket was still available when it came time for Maven’s to officially expand operations. The work has been ongoing, but it will open in late October as the headquarters for Maven’s new baking facility that will produce all the breads, bagels, and cookies across all businesses. This expansion will also help Maven’s to extend its brand into more wholesale operations, because we need more access to great bagels across the Ocean State and beyond.

Now that they have the means to scale up, Maven’s is accepting wholesale accounts for its breads, bagels and pastries. Imagine if you could go to your corner cafe on the East Bay or down in Newport and have access to Maven’s bagels and black and white cookies? It could happen. Businesses interested in carrying Maven’s products can contact burt@mavensdeli.com for wholesale ordering information and availability.
