Its time to grab your backpacks and tennis shoes once again ladies and gents. The Bristol Warren Education Foundation [BWEF] and the Medical Associates of Rhode Island have teamed up to host a flagship event, The Bee, with a brand new theme: adult recess! The BWEF is a nonprofit organization that focuses on bringing the finest and most creative teacher-led grant programs to Bristol Warren Schools. The foundation is currently reviewing grant applications from teachers and preparing to make funding commitments to deserving programs, and they believe the end of the school year calls for a celebration of the students, courageous teachers and devoted community partners. The BWEF is embracing the spirit of celebration by basing their annual fundraiser on everybody’s favorite part of the school day.

The outdoor event will feature school yard favorites with a twist like giant Jenga, giant Scrabble and giant Twister along with good old fashioned cornhole. There will also be adult takes on traditional kids’ food and drink menu items. A silent auction will also take place as well as a a raffle with amazing prizes including a WaterRower and a trip for two to Club Med. Adult recess will take place on Saturday, May 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the old school yard at Hope and Main in Warren. Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased in advance here.
