Gooseneck Vineyards Enjoys Spacious New Location
The local winery opened its doors to a new spot in North Kingstown this past fall.

Gooseneck Vineyards, a local winery that was previously located in the heart of Wickford Village, recently closed their old location and moved into a more expansive space down the road in North Kingstown. Co-owners Liana Buonanno and Paul Fede outgrew the small spot in Wickford and decided to move into a larger space, renovating a historic barn located off Route 1 — making it the perfect spot for beachgoers and wine connoisseurs alike.
“This barn is iconic in Rhode Island — it’s hard not to notice it when traveling through the area. Paul had dreamed of having a vineyard here long before Gooseneck Vineyards was born. When the opportunity presented itself, it felt like the natural next step in our evolution,” Buonanno says.
The pair spent nearly three years renovating the building, paying homage to the barn’s historic roots with equestrian decorations, and keeping elements intact like the horse stalls and barn doors.
“Preserving the building and honoring its rich history was a top priority. We are incredibly proud of how the space reflects both its heritage and the future of Gooseneck Vineyards,” says Buonanno.

The pair opened the winery to the public in fall 2024 and in the months since have been enjoying their role as a community gathering space for locals.
“The vision behind Gooseneck Vineyards has always been to craft exceptional wines that bring people together, while celebrating both global inspiration and local charm. The new location allows us to fully realize this vision by creating a space that serves as the heart and soul of our brand — a welcoming gathering place for the community,” says Buonanno.
The new winery hosts food truck nights, crafting workshops, charcuterie board-making classes, and more. You can also enjoy live music from local musicians and take part in wine and cheese pairing events and special wine tastings. You can sip your vino al-fresco style on the outdoor patio, overlooking the expansive vineyard.
“Summer in the vineyard is a quiet kind of magic,” says Buonanno. “The vines are alive with promise — leaves whispering in the breeze, grape clusters beginning to take shape. Though it will be another few years before we bottle our first estate vintage, there’s something deeply meaningful about nurturing these young vines and dreaming of the wines they will one day become. Sharing this journey, from the very beginning, with our community makes it all the more special.”

Gooseneck Vineyards serves up classics that wine lovers will enjoy, from Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay to Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, a sparkly and still Rosé and more. Plus, the Rhode Island-based wine brand offers special local flavors like the “Wickford White” and “Rhody Red.”
You can enjoy these tasty libations at 1340 Tower Hill Road in North Kingstown, conveniently located on the drive back from the beaches in South County (post-beach day vino, anyone?). The winery is open seven days a week. To plan your visit, head to gooseneckvineyards.com.
