At the annual Good Trade Makers Market on November 20 and 21 from noon to 6 p.m., connect with more than ninety-five independent makers and creators of apothecary products, home décor, art, clothing, accessories and more from across the country.
The makers market showcases the work of various talented innovators and vendors, such as Basil and Bunny, Goddex Apothecary, Tea to a Flame, Sir Milky Quartz, Botanic Providence, Clover Desserts, Maera Glass Sundries, Ocean State Pepper Co., Dips Dips, Stock Culinary Goods, Newport Sea Salt Co., 2021 Co., Wild Wood and Epoxy and more. Sponsors of this year’s event include Ohanga, Frog and Toad, BankRI, Arnold Lumber and Swamp Yankee Art.
Just in time for the holiday season, the market is a great setting to support these creators while making progress on your holiday shopping. “We know Rhode Islanders love supporting small businesses, and this event allows them to shop from their favorite local makers while introducing them to out-of-towners who are popping up in our little state for the weekend,” says BJ Mansuetti, co-host of the Good Trade Makers Market alongside his wife Robin Dionne, who adds that their “goal is to create growth opportunities by helping businesses expand their networks and foster collaboration between makers.”
Tickets are $5 online and $8 at the door if available. The ticket purchase includes a drink ticket to be redeemed for a coffee, ice tea, small beer or cocktail pour from sponsoring beverage companies like Trinity Brewhouse, the Industrious Spirits Company, Proclamation Ale, New Harvest Coffee Roasters and Granny Squibb’s Iced Tea. Visit the Instagram account to participate in daily giveaways from event vendors through November 20.
