Here’s Everything to Eat and Drink at the New Centreville Bank Stadium
From lobster rolls to exclusive beers, RIFC's newly opened stadium in Pawtucket doesn't skimp on the food options.
The Rhode Island Football Club — a.k.a. RIFC — held its historic first home opener this past Saturday at the brand-new Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket. The sold-out match drew more than ten thousand fans who lit up the state’s newest venue, bringing the community together and igniting a passion for the sport.
While the stands were packed with soccer fans excited to support RIFC on their home field for the first time, the new stadium offers something for everyone in the crowd — especially the foodies.
From pre-game tailgating to the final whistle, there’s no shortage of crave-worthy treats on the stadium’s menus. This includes options from some local Pawtucket favorites, including Maven’s Delicatessen and The Guild. The nights kick off with food trucks along the riverwalk, where fans can enjoy free family-friendly activities like hair braiding and face paint at Fan Fest. Tucked among the booths, find food trucks from Chick-fil-A, California Taco Shop and Del’s Lemonade. (Ticket holders can also get a free chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-A Attleboro the Monday after the game whenever RIFC scores during a corner kick — which unfortunately didn’t happen at Saturday’s 0-0 match.)
Once inside, the cash-free venue offers a variety of easy and convenient options. Visit one of the eight portable stands for classic fan-favorite foods with a local twist. Along with corned beef and pastrami sandwiches from Maven’s Delicatessen, fans can find lobster rolls and clam chowder from Chip’s Catch, vegetarian and vegan options like the loaded hummus bowl from the Veggie Nook, chicken carnitas and beef barbacoa tacos from Taft Street Tacos, pizza from Rhode Island Pie Co., pulled pork mac & cheese from Smokehouse BBQ, and smash burgers and dill pickle tater tots from Gansett Grill. Stadium staples like hot dogs (get them “Rhode Island” style with meat sauce, onions and mustard), pretzels, popcorn and loaded nachos round out the menu, offering something for everyone.
For those looking to get back to the action, the “Just Walk Out” markets let fans skip the lines, purchasing drinks and snacks simply by picking them up, thanks to the latest technology from Amazon. Stocked with Pepsi products, canned alcoholic beverages, chips, snacks and bigger-ticket items like pizza and nachos, the stadium’s three “Just Walk Out” markets are designed to get fans what they need without missing the any of the match.
Season ticket holders with access to the West: Premium Club are in for a culinary experience, thanks to the stadium’s concession manager, 401 Collective. Their rotating menu showcases Rhode Island staples — a recent tasting event featured hot sausages, shrimp Alfredo, lobster rolls and stuffies, among other items — while also drawing inspiration from the hometowns of visiting opponents.
Centreville Bank Stadium is full of surprises—and with a debut like this, it’s clear RIFC is catering to every taste.
For drinks, thirsty fans will find several local craft beer options, along with a more typical lineup of national brand can and seltzer options. The Guild’s signature RIFC Pale Ale is available on menus throughout the stadium (and was joined by an exclusive Opening Day Ale for Saturday’s opener), along with brews from Narragansett and Newport Craft. The stadium also sells Pepsi products, with a variety of soft drinks available at “Just Walk Out” markets and stands. After the match, head down to watch party location The Guild for a taste of Forever Faithful — the latest RIFC-themed brew made in partnership with supporters’ group Defiance 1636.
Don’t forget to hit up the local restaurant scene for eats and brews once game time is over. Along with The Guild, find tasty eats and drink options at Blue Fish Peruvian Restaurant, Azul Tequila Bar and Mexican Grill, Rhode Island Spirits and the soon-to-open High Motor Bar & Grille, among other neighborhood favorites.
