“Humans of New York System,” October

Really enjoyed Jamie Coelho’s “Humans of New York System” piece in Rhode Island Monthly. Smart take on an established restaurant.

“Magic Bullet,” October

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to show our community what I do and showcasing such a great cause I contribute to. This article brings as much awareness to suicide in veterans as it shows people the bracelets themselves.

“Rise and Shine,” September

I just wanted to further highlight the importance and influence of one of Project GOAL’s co-founders, Peter Whealton. As kindred spirits in soccer and education, Peter, Javier Centeno and I came up with the idea in 2002, and Peter was responsible for setting up the program’s structure and governance in those early days. He was also a father figure to many students and helped them attend private schools like Moses Brown School and Wheeler. Peter is an integral part of the program as a networker, supporter, contributor and overall mentor to me and members of our board, and I am very proud to call him my friend.
Darius Shirzadi
Executive director, co-founder Project GOAL

We are constantly inspired by Cooley’s own Darius Shirzadi. Project GOAL is helping students achieve not only academic excellence through sports, but
also confidence, dedication and community.

Correction: Due to a production error, a credit was omitted in “Eye Candy” (October). In the residential interior design category, silver winner, the interior design was by Kristen Martone, Graceke Design, Narragansett.
