WaterFire Providence will be hosting its eighth annual FireBall Gala on Oct. 17. from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the WaterFire Arts Center to celebrate thirty years. The theme this year is, “fire, water, earth, air, and flair!” Make sure to dress your best (maybe even to theme!) for the red carpet and have your best dancing shoes. There will be a special announcement about the future of WaterFire at the event.

During the event, WaterFire will award five members of the community with an Waterfire Impact Award for their service to Providence, and Rhode Island as a whole. These people are dedicated to positive change, community service and innovation. Senator Jack Reed will receive the Civic Leadership award, Barbara Sokoloff the Community will receive the Impact award, Jordan Seaberry will receive the Creative Impact award, and both Barry and Kathleen Hittner will receive the Philanthropic Leadership award.

FireBall ticket sales will benefit the WaterFire Arts center, specifically workforce development and education programs.

“FireBall is not just a celebration of our past successes but a critical investment in the future of WaterFire and our community,” says Barnaby Evans, CEO and Artistic Director of WaterFire Providence. “This event allows us to continue creating transformative experiences while also supporting the development of the next generation of artists and innovators through our workforce development and education programs. The generosity and dedication of our supporters ensure that WaterFire will remain a crucial part of Providence for years to come.”

If you want to celebrate the honorees before the event officially starts, there will be a VIP Reception starting at 6 p.m. These tickets are $300 each, and these tickets will give guests access to the entire event, as well as include a champagne toast. The event itself begins at 7:30 p.m., and tickets for this is $150. Guests will enter the event down a red carpet and will have a sit-down dinner, live music, performances, and dancing. The awards ceremony will be held during the main event.
