Industrious Spirit Company Launches Some New Strong Stuff
The latest release is Aquavit, a Scandinavian-inspired spirit made from aging rye distilled with caraway and local rye bread.
Industrious Spirit Company (ISCO) is launching a new hard liquor, and it might be one you’ve never heard of. Aquavit is a Scandinavian-inspired spirit distilled from rye grain or potatoes and flavored with caraway and other aromatics like citrus and dill. But that’s burying the lead, as this one in particular is Everything Bagel flavored. Yes, you read the right. The savory, limited-edition concoction is made with spices and Ocean State Pepper Co. products.
ISCO is adding the Everything Bagel Aquavit to their stellar lineup of spirits, including two other Aquavits (aged and unaged), Ostreida Oyster Vodka, Structural Vodka, Ornamental Gin, Blue Velvet Bourbon, Patina Bourbon Barrel Aged Gin and Gemma Crystal Vodka. Nearly half of the team is of Swedish descent, so adding a third Scandinavian-inspired spirit was motivation to delve into their own culture and serve it up to the public.

To celebrate the spirit launch, ISCO is hosting a “Winter-Blues-Be-Gone Party” on Thurs., January 23, starting at 5 p.m. at their distillery in Providence. Guests can purchase Aquavit to taste on site, and enjoy a spread of complimentary bites like Caviar-Butter Bread Bar from Oberlin and Ellen Darling, Everything Bagel Aquavit Gravlax from Fearless Fish Market and Everything Bagel bites by Whisk Me Away. Guests are also encouraged to don their coziest sweaters and mittens (best Nordic-winterly dressed will win a prize!), and further beat the cold at the on-site sauna provided by Little X Engine and the Silky Sifaka from Altaer Sauna.
