We’d recognize that pristine flat expanse of lawn overlooking the Atlantic anywhere. After an increased security presence at Taylor Swift’s Westerly mansion on Independence Day sparked rumors that the modern pop legend had returned to pre-pandemic form and revived her iconic annual Fourth of July bash this past week, Swift herself confirmed it today with a series of photos on Instagram.

(It’s also worth noting that this isn’t the only dose of nostalgia she’s serving up: the singer/songwriter also just dropped her latest rerecord of her famously self-written album Speak Now at midnight.)

The Rhode Island property — which also served as the subject of her song “the Last Great American Dynasty” from her eighth album, Folklore — has played host to a number of famous friends over the years (including the likes of Karlie Kloss, Cara Delvine and Ed Sheeran) and this year was no different. A few swipes reveal that her besties Selena Gomez and Alana, Este and Danielle Haim from the band HAIM were in attendance.

But alas, while we would have loved for everyone to stick around and explore the Ocean State further, it seems they’ve all already left town with Swift signing off her caption with, “See you tonight Kansas Cityyy” — a.k.a. the next stop on her record-breaking Eras Tour. It’s also very likely the last time we may see her around these parts for awhile, as she already visited Gillette Stadium back in July and the second leg of her tour will soon bring her to South America and Europe for the next year. Oh well, at least we’ll always have the Fourth.
