Hospitality Days are Back in Newport County this June
Local attractions are offer free admission and discounts for Newport County residents and hospitality employees.
It may sound too good be true, but for the first time since 2019 Newport County residents and hospitality industry employees can, in fact, once again enjoy free admission to local attractions from Saturday, June 10, through Monday, June 12.
And yes, illustrious Newport mansions like the Breakers, Marble House, the Elms and Kingscote (but please note that Hunter House, Green Animals Topiary Garden, the Beneath the Breakers tour or the Elms Servant Life tour still require timed tickets) are amongst the participating locations offering free entry. Other generous participators include Greenvale Vineyards, the Newport Art Museum and the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Specific offers and dates of participation vary from location to location.
“We look forward to having Newport County residents and hospitality employees visit these National Historic Landmarks that are in our care,” Preservation Society CEO Trudy Coxe says. “We hope they will take advantage of the opportunity.”
To enjoy the perk, visitors must show proof of residency (i.e. a driver’s license or other form of I.D. with address listed) or proof of hospitality employment (such as a business card, employee I.D. or pay stub) at entry.
“This is a great opportunity for our residents and hospitality employees to experience many of our fabulous cultural and historical attractions,” says Evan Smith, President and CEO of Discover Newport, which is sponsoring this program. “Our residents and employees are our greatest ambassadors, and we are excited to invite them to explore and learn about these special places.”
