5 Places in Rhode Island to Sip Fall-Themed Cocktails

October is here and with fall comes the sights, sounds and tastes of the season. Check out these local spots for delicious yet creative fall-themed cocktails.

 

Caleb and Broad

The Zombie cocktail made with Cruzan dark, Goslings dark, amaretto, brown sugar simple, fresh lime juice and pineapple juice is sure to wake you up if you are feeling a little dead inside. The drink costs $12 and pairs well with bar snacks like fried onion petals and tots Reuben. Caleb and Broad also serves up fantastic pumpkin mudslides and pumpkin spice martinis.

How to order: Dine in or take out Monday through Thursday, 5–10 p.m., Friday 4–11 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.–11 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday until 4 p.m. Orders can be made online on the website.

Tiny Bar

The space may be tiny, but its cocktails flavors are anything but. While the full fall menu has yet to make its debut, the bar has already teased drinks like the Autumn Picnic (inspired by cornbread and featuring Harridan vodka, piment d’espelette liqueur, vanilla liqueur and garnished with Bugles) and the Saigon Latte (a blend of Harridan vodka, Licor 43, espresso, sweetened condensed milk and a garnish of brown sugar syrup).

How to order: Monday, 4–10 p.m.;  Tuesday–Thursday, 4–11 p.m.; Friday, 4 p.m.–12 a.m.;  Saturday 2 p.m.–12 a.m.; and Sunday 2 –10 p.m.

The Wharf

This East Bay favorite features a full selection of fall drinks for this year. The pumpkin spice martini, apple crisp margarita and harvest sangria all sound like the perfect way to sip your way through autumn, but the Poison Apple with a cinnamon sugar rim has our vote.

How to order: Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. (kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m.) and Friday and Saturday 11:30 a.m.–11:30 p.m. (kitchen closes at 9:30 p.m.).

Perks and Corks 

The fall specials have finally dropped at this beloved coffeehouse slash martini lounge: stop by for seasonal staples like Clyde’s cider on draft and a pumpkin chai martini or try one of their new concoctions like the PSL — a pumpkin-y twist on the always delicious espresso martini.

If you are looking for a fun and unique place to kick back and sip a fall drink with your significant other or best friend, Troop has got you covered. Go for the frozen pumpkin spiced painkiller or the red sangria made with apple brandy and spiced rum.
