Pumpkin picking season is finally upon us. If you’re in search for the Great Pumpkin, head out to any one of these local farms.

Confreda Greenhouses and Farm
This farm has Fall Fest where families can hop aboard the hayride, go for a train ride, explore the corn maze and pick pumpkins (priced per pound). Sugar pumpkins are also available (priced per each), along with heirloom gourds in the farm’s garden center.
PYO Pumpkin Hours: Starting September 28, Saturdays and Sundays (and Columbus Day) until October 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cucumber Hill Farm
Cucumber Hill offers a variety of activities for families including a themed corn maze, hayrides, pony rides and the flashlight maze. These activities do have additional costs, but if you buy a ticket to the corn maze ($5-$12) you get a free hayride. Pick-your-own pumpkins are priced at 0.75 cents per pound. Pre-picked pumpkins are also available at the barn.

Salisbury Farm
This farm has a store where you can purchase locally grown fruits and vegetables and jellies and jams as well as honey. Pick a pumpkin (priced at .99 cents per pound), then visit the pick-your-own raspberries field, followed by a trip through the corn maze (this year’s maze theme Autumn High Sea Adventure).
Hours: Monday–Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Oct.31st; Saturdays and Sundays (plus Columbus Day), 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Spring Hill Sugar House
Before you pick your pumpkins (which they have plenty of!), take a walk through the corn maze. The farm also sells fresh pressed apple cider every weekend, maple syrup and gourds for all your fall decorating needs. Make sure to stop by an ATM as they are cash and check only!

Sweet Berry Farm
In addition to plump pumpkins for picking, Sweet Berry Farm offers pick-your-own apples, peaches, and flowers. The farm market sells a variety of fresh products and if you get hungry, you can purchase food and desserts from the farm cafe.

Adams Farm
Cumberland’s Adams Farm boasts the largest pumpkin patches and giant corn mazes in Rhode Island, so there’s no worries about stumbling upon a patchy patch when you visit. The farm also features an animal petting area, multiple mazes, weekend hayrides and more.

Old Stone Orchard
One thing this spot has going for it that a lot of the others don’t: a view of the farm’s adorable animals as you pick your way through the pumpkin patch.

Phantom Farms
