The Beatrice Hotel to Open this Summer with Upscale Italian Bellini Restaurant
The forty-seven room hotel, set in the 1887 Exchange Building, will be home to Ignazio Cipriani’s first Bellini restaurant as well as a private rooftop club.
Luxurious rooms, delicious food and a trendy rooftop club: This will soon be found at the Beatrice hotel in downtown Providence. The forty-seven room hotel, set in the 1887 Exchange Building, will open its doors to guests at the end of summer 2021. It will be home to Ignazio Cipriani’s first Bellini restaurant as well as a private rooftop club.
The Beatrice was developed by Joseph R. Paolino Jr., managing partner of Paolino Properties and a former mayor of Providence. The hotel was inspired by his mother, Beatrice Temkin, who was a Rhode Island resident, community leader and philanthropist (and also — shameless plug — the society editor for Rhode Island Monthly).
“I have dedicated my life to making Providence a top destination for people to live and visit. The Beatrice represents everything I love about our city — its warm spirit, rich history, creativity and, of course, our world-class restaurants,” says Joseph R. Paolino Jr.
Paolino Properties wanted to introduce a new restaurant alongside its hotel that features an upscale and modern Italian dining experience for both locals and travelers. They felt Bellini would be the perfect fit.
“Bellini, named after the cocktail created by my great grandfather and now known throughout the world, is a place where visitors and locals alike can truly connect with one another and share simple flavors and I’m excited to introduce this concept to downtown Providence at the Beatrice hotel,” said Ignazio Cipriani, founder and president of Bellini Providence. The restaurant will be open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The rooftop Bellini Club is planned as a private members-only club that will also be open to hotel guests. The rooftop club overlooks Kennedy Plaza, and will provide incredible views of the city. The Bellini Club will offer an exclusive menu, handcrafted cocktails and host events throughout the year.
The interior of the hotel, designed by ZDS Architecture and Interiors, welcomes guests with sophisticated décor, an atrium centered around a grand chandelier and a lobby filled with natural light. The accommodations at the hotel range in size from 300-square feet to 805-square-feet. Each suite is filled with deluxe amenities including Mascioni linens and towels crafted in Milan, Dyson hair dryers, organic BeeKind personal care amenities, heated towel racks, Nespresso coffee makers and more.
The hotel will also have features such as contactless check-in, keyless entry, on-demand text request for concierge service and complimentary onsite COVID-19 testing for guests.
