Testing Out the Viral Coffee Bucket in Northern Rhode Island
This Blackstone Valley coffee shop has made a splash on TikTok with bucket-sized servings of flavors like the banana bread latte and cinnagraham crunch iced coffee.

Each morning millions of New Englanders have a cup of coffee; some drink two cups, and the craziest coffee people get the bucket from The Coffee Cubby.
This snug coffee shop is located on Old River Road in Manville, a village of Lincoln. The northern Rhode Island staple opened in 2013 and shifted ownership a few years ago. Since opening, The Coffee Cubby has always been popular, specifically with those in the Woonsocket and Lincoln area. However, the business recently went viral on social media thanks to a new offering that has generated lines streaming well into the parking lot.
The bucket is a massive coffee served in an actual bucket with a cover and straw. At thirty-four ounces, it’s two ounces larger than their regular large size, and certainly enough to get you through your day. Given that it’s summertime, the bucket itself is worth holding onto once you’ve slurped up all the coffee, maybe to bring to the beach or use around the house.
The bucket gained fame on TikTok and Instagram as Rhode Island’s iced coffee culture took notice. It can hold whatever iced drink your heart desires, including an iced latte, iced coffee or even a refresher. The Cubby serves coffee brewed by Mills Coffee Roasting of Providence, who provide a wide variety of brewed-in flavored coffee. When you enter the little shop, you’ll be greeted with a wall full of options such as cinnagraham crunch or blueberry coffeecake. These delightful coffee flavors can be paired with either a scrumptious pastry or eye-popping breakfast sandwich.

While the bucket steals the show, the food menu at The Cubby isn’t one to be ignored with bold sandwiches such as The Smoky Pig or The Lion standing out from an all-star lineup of breakfast sandwiches. If you’re in a rush, check out their grab-and-go options including a fruit bowl or specialty panini. The Cubby also offers plenty of options for those with a sweet tooth, with five ice cream options as well as acai bowls.
The Cubby’s out-of-this-world lattes, with flavors like banana bread or peanut butter and fluff, pair great with the protein menu. Outside of the typical protein shakes and parfaits, the business offers protein balls and protein pudding, each of which comes in three unique flavors, including trendy flavors like Dubai chocolate. If you’re looking for something heartier, try their chicken salad or turkey club wrap. The food will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to take on your day whether you’re heading to the office or the beach.
If you’re not in any rush, though, you should hang around for a bit to enjoy the daily paper available inside or the fresh air beneath the umbrellas outside.
