Roller Disco is Back in Providence
Get groovy under the disco lights at The Providence Rink from now until October 31st.
Disco is back and better than ever—roller disco, that is. The Providence Rink will be hosting roller-skating nights from now until October 31, each decked out with their own themes, live DJs and more!
Every Thursday and Friday from 5-10 p.m., as well as the first Saturday of each month, the rink will be illuminated by colorful disco lights, accompanied by curated DJ sets. The rink will also be hosting Family Skate Days, with dates to come, and Learn to Skate workshops for beginners of all ages.
“Summer in Providence is a time to come together as a community, enjoy the outdoors and take advantage of the vibrant, creative energy that defines our city,” says Mayor
Brett Smiley. “Roller Disco at the Providence Rink has become a summer tradition, bringing together neighbors of all ages. Events like this activate our Downtown and reaffirm our commitment to making Providence a more welcoming and connected city for everyone.”
Roller Disco admission is $9 for adults and $6 for children, with skate rentals available for $9. Season passes can be purchased for $65 for adults and $45 for children under 12 and seniors. Tickets are available at theprovidencerink.com, with limited walk-up access offered while availability lasts.
“Roller Disco at the rink is about creating meaningful experiences that bring people together,” says Brant Gawrys, Director of Athletic and Event Facilities for the Department of Parks. “Whether you’re lacing up skates for the first time or reliving childhood memories, this event encourages residents to stay active, enjoy our beautiful Downtown and connect with neighbors. It’s a celebration of community and the vibrant energy that makes Providence special in the summer.”
Providence Rink will also be hosting the Summer Fun Activities Club (SFAC) adults sports league Monday through Wednesday evenings. Join in on volleyball, dodgeball, pickleball and more by registering at superfunactivitiesclub.com.
