Dance the Night Away in Support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Express your support for a good cause through new and exciting dance lessons.

Just like Meaghan Trainor says, “I feel better when I’m dancing.”
Ever wanted to train like those on “Dancing with the Stars”? Spend the evening learning the salsa with Rodney Lopez and Bollywood and Bhangra dance styles with Rupa and Rutuja from Dance BFF at the BFF for LLS Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser. Don’t be shy; no prior experience needed to just have fun, dance it out and raise money for a good cause.
As part of the fundraising team for candidate Laura Lanni, who is campaigning for Visionaries of the Year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Dance BFF co-founders Rupa and Rutuja will host a fundraiser filled with what they know best: dancing. Their team, Lucky Penny for LLS, aims to raise $75,000 in support of research for the organization. If you can’t attend or the event isn’t quite your style, consider donating from afar online. Any amount helps.
If dancing isn’t your forte, maybe a henna temporary tattoo, traditional Indian wear or other boutique finds will pique your interest, not to mention numerous raffle prizes and auction items. Be sure to try (if you haven’t already) bites from Spanglish and Incred-A-Bowl food trucks, featuring empanadas and meat and rice bowls packed with lively spices.
The event is Saturday, April 29 from 4–7 p.m. at Farm Fresh RI, 10 Sims Ave., Providence. Online pre-registration is preferred, $20 per person donation is required to participate in the event. Ages ten and under are free.
