Dog lovers, unite! Grab your pup and start brainstorming your matching Halloween costumes because there’s a Halloween Dog Walk and Costume Contest taking place later this month.

The Howl-o-ween Hike N Treat, hosted by Furry Fellas Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Service, will be a fun-filled day at the park for both pups and their owners, and the event will benefit the Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter, which supports the homeless animal population in Warwick.

Taking place at Warwick City Park on Sunday, Oct. 27, you can expect a day of spooktacular fun, with treats for both dogs and humans alike, dog-friendly games, a dog hike (bust out your hiking shoes!) and a pet costume contest with prizes and a raffle. You’ll also have the chance to create your new favorite profile pic with a selfie photo backdrop for you and your doggo.

You don’t even need to bring a dog to join in on the fun — if you have a dog who’s not very sociable or if you’re just a dog lover but don’t own any furry animals, you’re invited to attend the festivities.

The event is free to attend and takes place from 2–5 p.m. on the Sunday afternoon. If you want to participate in the hike or the costume contest, advance registration and a $10 donation for each activity is required.
