Find Good Eats and Good Vibes at CRU PVD
Whether you’re dining solo, spending a night out with friends, or indulging in a luxuriously lazy weekend brunch, the CRU PVD team will make you feel right at home.
Step through the doors at CRU PVD, a new neighborhood spot in the West End, and you’re immediately greeted by a warm, welcoming vibe, and a space that’s colorful, vibrant and a bit retro. Slide up to the bar for a drink that’s anything but ordinary – get a jolt from a Frozen Irish Coffee; sip on the “This and Yap,” a twist on a dirty martini that’s more savory than briney; or the Matcha-Tini – move over espresso martini! Whether you’re dining solo, here for a night out with friends, or a luxuriously lazy weekend brunch, the CRU PVD team makes sure you feel at home right away.
A Seasonal Menu for Everyone
CRU PVD’s kitchen, led by head chef Benjamin Stroud, prides itself on serving up a fresh twist on nostalgic, feel-good dishes, with something on the menu for everyone. With lots of texture and flavor in every bite, you really can’t go wrong. Start with the Caesar Salad with grilled romaine, overflowing with a crumble of crispy cheese and panko instead of breadcrumbs. Share the Olive Oil Poached Shrimp, or the Roasted Sweet Potato with kimchi ranch, sesame brittle, and furikake. Savor the rich and indulgent Phony Baloney Sandwich for that hit of nostalgia – thick slices of fancy mortadella on sourdough from Seven Stars Bakery. Or the Sesame Pork Schnitzel with ssamjang dressing, cherry tomato, and kimchi salad. And be sure to leave room for dessert – the Bannofee Pie Partfait combines banana, toffee bits, and sweet cream for a perfect not-too-sweet, a little savory end to your meal.
Dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday, but weekend brunch has quickly become a local favorite, with a menu that changes seasonally, and good vibes that last all day long. Favorite dishes include the Short Rib Hash with sunny eggs and red chimichurri; the Dutch Baby Pancake; and the Miso Honey Butter Challah for that savory and sweet combo.
A Warm Ambiance for All Occasions
Whether you’re enjoying an intimate dinner date or a lively meal with friends, CRU PVD’s colorful space is intended to welcome all. Artwork from local talent hangs on the walls, infusing the spirit of the city into the space – after all, creating community through food is what it’s all about for the folks at CRU PVD. And ample parking surrounds the restaurant so you can dive right into enjoying your experience instead of worrying about parking downtown.
The team has fun events lined up throughout the month to foster that community spirit. Fried Chicken Champagne Disco night on the last Tuesday of the month – featuring crispy, gluten-free fried chicken, fun sparkling wine specials by the bottle, and groovy beats. On Dice Roll Wednesdays, roll snake eyes and eat for free! And local collaborations, like a Beer Dinner on May 8th with Buttonwoods Brewery and Pivotal Brewing Company – a 5-course dinner pairing that celebrates the harmony between food and craft beer.
Whether you’re visiting for the first time or are a regular; by yourself, with your family, or on a date, CRU PVD is sure to welcome you with warmth, good energy, interesting cocktails, and that nostalgic, feel-good food that you’ll remember. 381 W Fountain St., Providence, 401-383-9487, crupvd.com
