PPAC to Host Trinity Rep’s ‘A Christmas Carol’ This Holiday Season
Trinity Rep’s Chace Theater will be under construction for a full renovation, so the holiday classic will take the stage at the Providence Performing Arts Center.

Trinity Repertory Company announced today that its annual A Christmas Carol production will be performed at the Providence Performing Arts Center this holiday season.
With a full renovation of Trinity Rep’s Chace Theater (where the production is usually performed) expected to begin as soon as October, the theater will be under construction during the busy holiday season. Trinity Rep’s downtown Providence neighbor, PPAC, was there to help continue the holiday tradition.
“In the true community spirit of A Christmas Carol, PPAC and Trinity Rep’s collaboration ensures that friends and families can gather this holiday season to experience the treasured production for a forty-eighth consecutive year,” says Joseph W. Walsh, Esq., chair of PPAC’s Board of Directors.
With PPAC’s production of Hamilton taking place Dec. 11–22, the addition of the holiday classic poses a bit of a logistical and scheduling challenge for the production. A Christmas Carol is scheduled to run Nov. 23–Dec. 4, and it will return from Dec. 26–29.
“The historic venue provides an enchanting backdrop, and I am excited to share this wonderful Christmas story with everyone,” says Tatyana-Marie Carlo, Trinity Rep Resident company member and the director of A Christmas Carol.
Tickets for A Christmas Carol will go on sale to Trinity Rep subscribers on July 29, to PPAC subscribers on Aug. 5, and will be available to the public on Aug. 19. You can purchase tickets at the PPAC box office, via phone at (401) 421-2787, or on PPAC’s website.
