Watch RIFC Compete in the Eastern Conference Final at the Guild this Weekend
Head to the Pawtucket brewery this Saturday night to watch the local football club compete in its third playoff game.

Rhode Island FC (RIFC) made it to the playoffs in its first season and after winning against Indianapolis’s Indy Eleven in the first round and defeating the number one team from the regular season, Louisville City FC, last weekend, they’re taking on their next opponent in the Eastern Conference Final this Saturday, November 16. RIFC will compete against the Charleston Battery on the opposing team’s home turf in South Carolina
You can watch the two teams go head-to-head at the Guild in Pawtucket Saturday night for a special watch party event, featuring the brewery’s RIFC Pale Ale — “The Official Craft Beer of Rhode Island FC” — an American-style pale ale that was created especially for the local team by the Guild Brewing Company.
RIFC certainly will have the work cut out for them. Charleston Battery nearly took the USL Championship Final crown last year (ultimately surrendering to Phoenix in a penalty shootout), and is now coming off its highest regular season finish since 2019 with a No. 2 seed. Most recently, the opposing team beat out the Tampa Bay Rowdies in a “come-from-behind fashion” in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Charleston Battery also tends to perform best when playing in front of its supporters at Patriots Point Soccer Stadium, having only lost one match at home during the regular season.
But don’t count our boys out: Though new, the Ocean State’s league has already racked up plenty of experience battling opposing teams on their turf (see: recent win over Louisville). Moreover, RIFC is one of only four teams to take a win away from Charleston this year when their previous matchup resulted in a draw of 1-1 back in October. Should they win on Saturday, RIFC will come one step closer to achieving something that hasn’t been done by a first-year team in nearly a decade: taking home the conference title. Their next and final match would be against the Western Conference finalist to win it all.
If you want to watch the historic match with fellow RIFC fans, be sure to head over to the Guild this Saturday night at 7 p.m. (though you may want to head over earlier to ensure prime, or any, seating). And if you can’t make it to the Pawtucket brewery, the match will also be streamed live at breweries and sports pubs across the Ocean State, like the Providence Brewing Company, Moniker Brewery, Troop PVD, Newport Craft Brewing in Newport, Proclamation Ale Comapany, Providence G Pub, Picos Restaurant and Lounge and the German American Cultural Society of RI.
