Can I smoke cannabis in public?
In general, you can’t smoke or vape cannabis in public places where cigarette smoking/vaping is banned. Cities and towns can also pass ordinances against public consumption.
Are there any age requirements?
You must be at least twenty-one to possess and consume recreational cannabis.
Can I carry cannabis on me?
You can possess up to one ounce of marijuana on your person, and up to ten ounces for personal use at home. You can also have up to three mature cannabis plants and three immature plants in your home and can transfer up to one ounce of marijuana to another adult age twenty-one or older.
What happens if I have more than one ounce of cannabis on me?
An adult possessing between one and two ounces of cannabis outside the home would be guilty of a civil offense and subject to a fine.
