Witness the Wondertwins, the Boston-based and award-winning dancers, as they perform captivating dance pieces at the Ballroom at the Providence G on March 3 at 7:30 p.m., hosted by nonprofit organization FirstWorks. Combining street-style, Broadway and old-school hip hop, the Wondertwins Billy and Bobby McClain have toured the nation to display their distinctive style of dance embodying their passion for movement.
Before branching off to become the famed dynamic duo, the twins first teamed with Boston’s first professional street dance crew, The Funk Effects, at ten years old and opened for known artists in the hip hop industry such as LL Cool J and Run DMC. For four decades, they’ve put on show-stopping performances on stages including the Brooklyn Dance Festival, ICA Boston and many more. Six-time winners of “Showtime at The Apollo,” the Wondertwins also double as educators in the Boston school system and inspire students of all ages.
Tickets for the eighteen-plus event are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Ballroom at the Providence G, 100 Dorrance St., Providence, firstworks.org
