What to Eat and Drink at the Best of Rhode Island Party
Here's what to expect at tonight's part at Roger Williams Park Zoo.

We’re all looking forward to celebrating nearly 400 Best of Rhode Island 2022 winners at tonight’s big party at Roger Williams Park Zoo. First-timers and party veterans may not know what to expect at this newer venue (as it is only the second time we’ve ever hosted a party there). Be sure to bring your tickets as you need them to enter the zoo (your lanyard is not a ticket!). The party is sold out and there are no tickets sold at the door whatsoever so all tickets must have been purchased in advance. We know it’s going to be hot and the party is outdoors, so there will be water stations in various locations, plus the zoo is setting up misters to help keep us cool.
Be sure to dress in and light airy attire and comfortable shoes. This is a more casual atmosphere where you can express your style while also staying comfortable. Many women wear summer dresses and shorts, while men are comfortable in short-sleeved shirts and shorts or jeans (no need for suits and ties, we’re talking to you Gene Valicenti!). Guests get exclusive access to the lower zoo, where they can enjoy viewings of animals such as giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, zebras and more, as well as complimentary parking.
There will be a few bands providing live entertainment as well as plenty of photo opps at Instagrammable setups including our #BestofRI marquee lights by Alpha-Lit, party photos by Blueflash Photography and a photo booth from Luke Renchan Entertainment, presented by Delta Dental.

As for the food and drink, we will have stations set up for refreshments. Here’s what you can expect:
-Guests will receive two free drink tickets when they enter the zoo, good for wine from Gooseneck Vineyards or Newport Vineyards, or beer from Grey Sail Brewing or Narragansett Brewery. In addition, Grey Goose will pour an exclusive cocktail to the first 500 guests. A cash bar is available for additional refreshments.
–Dunkin’ Donuts is serving its new Brown Sugar Foam Cold Brew and the first 200 guests will get an exclusive pack of munchkins decorated with the Best of Rhode Island logo.
–Del’s Lemonade is serving its famous frozen lemonade.
–Wright’s Dairy is offering a selection of sweet treats: Strawberry Sorbet, Blueberry Coffee Cake Ice Cream, Tractor Tracks Ice Cream
–Edgewood Cheese Shop prepared a selection of special cheeses served with strawberry preserves, Smokin’ Goat and Bourbon and Bacon cheeses.
–Durk’s Bar-B-Q is plating a tomato and pimento cheese slider.
–Matunuck Oyster Bar is shucking their iconic oysters.
–India has something for the vegetarians including kale cucumber salad and green peal pulao, as well as its famous chicken tikka masala.
-The Zoo has also set up several food stations including an Asian station with dumplings, Mediterranean lettuce wraps and back by popular demand, the Walking Taco.
