It’s the Teal Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) is teaming up with local CVS locations to kick off the FARE Teal Pumpkin Project 2022, an initiative that makes Halloween more inclusive for the one in thirteen children living with food allergies, intolerances and other conditions. The Teal Pumpkin Project has been making an effort since 2012 to make trick-or-treating safer by inviting residents to place a teal pumpkin on their doorstep signaling that non-food goodies and allergy-safe treats are available for trick-or-treaters.

“As consumers shop at CVS Pharmacy this Halloween season, we believe it is our responsibility to offer them safe and smart choices for their families, friends and neighbors seeking allergy-friendly options,” says Brian Eason, vice president of merchandising at CVS Health. “We know healthier happens together, and our partnership with FARE provides an opportunity to ensure Halloween is a more inclusive holiday, in addition to bringing awareness to the important mission of the Teal Pumpkin Project.”

CVS Pharmacy helps simplify Halloween shopping for families by offering about fifty convenient and affordable food-allergy safe items in 4,500 stores across the nation. Check below for the list of participating CVS store locations in Rhode Island. If your household is participating as well, add your location to the interactive map.
