10/18 WaterFire Fireball

Why: Celebrate one of Rhode Island’s most entertaining urban experiences at the first ever Friday night Fireball. Guests
will be served delicious dinner bites, dance all night long and see art in the spacious WaterFire Arts Center. Will Gilbert from the “The Rhode Show” on WPRI is the emcee for the night. Plus, complimentary valet parking will be available.

10/19 Glocester Scarecrow Festival

Why: See dozens of scarecrows line Chepachet Village, sip piping hot drinks and munch on apple cider doughnuts to get into the fall feel. Awards will be given out to the best scarecrows. Entertainment and more food will be available along Putnam Pike and face painting, plus pony rides and rabbit displays will keep the kiddos busy. Rhode Island folk duo, Atwater-Donnelly, will perform live music, too. The scarecrows will remain up for viewing until November 3.

10/5–10/6 Norman Bird Sanctuary Harvest Fair

Why: Treat your family to a weekend of old-fashioned fun. Browse through work from more than seventy talented artisans and crafters, munch on food truck fare, listen to live music and sip a brew or two in the Ragged Island beer garden. Kiddos can also hop aboard the barrel train, take a pony ride, play games, get messy in the mud pit and more.
