Ten Prime Seafood will become CUT 123.

And…cut! Ten Prime Seafood restaurant is closing later this fall in the former Bravo and Res space. But that’s not the end of Chow Fun Food Group in the building. The restaurant will transform into a new concept later this fall, transforming into CUT 123.

CUT 123 will focus on steaks and sushi, rather than seafood. John Elkhay, maestro of Chow Fun Food Group, decided to reimagine the restaurant after the seafood focus didn’t swim. “Ten Prime Seafood is one of our most beautiful restaurants and I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved there,” Elkhay says in statement. “But, over the past year, we learned that it was the right restaurant but at the wrong time.  CUT 123 is meeting the moment, whether our guests are looking for a casual steak dinner, an elevated sushi experience, or a combination of both. We want to provide an experience that balances unpretentious quality with an electric neighborhood vibe.”

On the first floor of CUT 123, Certified Angus Top Sirloin will now be the star of the show. The menu will feature hand-butchered in house steaks in three different cuts — center cut sirloin, coulotte sirloin and baseball cut sirloin. The steaks will be aged for twenty-eight days and served with traditional steakhouse sides.

Upstairs will be the place to go for elevated sushi. This concept will be more of a izakaya-style lounge with shared appetizers, sushi and a sake menu. Both menus will be available upstairs and downstairs.

For those in a rush to eat before a show at Providence Performing Arts Center or Trinity Repertory Company, the restaurant is also offering a pre-theater bento box.

Ten Prime Seafood will close its doors on October 25th. CUT 123 will open in November.
